Truth.....Any Takers?

Infinite and eternal Truth…. funny how we do not expect it to be relevant, or do we not expect it to exist? …..or do we wish it existed but do not expect it to appear …..or do we not trust anyone claiming to deliver it? Eternal Truth …..maybe we don’t think we can handle it or we don’t think we can understand it. Eternal Truth …….surely we don’t have time to read all that. It must be complex, don’t you think? No one’s got it right so far so why should we of all people expect to get clued in? Eternal Truth …...that’s somebody else’s job. Besides, what good would it be? Would it pay a single bill or feed a single mouth? Eternal Truth. …...We would settle for just a little more truth in our acquaintances, employers, and politicians. Eternal Truth? …...there’s not even enough daily truth to go around. Truth…..would we even recognize it if it landed on our doorstep? If it got delivered to each of us would yours be the same as mine? Eternal Truth. Yeah, maybe someday. Sounds a little impractical for now though. Besides, we’ve occasionally received some sneak previews and free samples and it didn’t go over very well. Worst of all what if it included the truth about us?! We spend our entire life running from that! If we had the Truth dumped on us how could we then make up our own? Eternal Truth …….better disguise it as something else. …….better slip it in unannounced.
